Whether you work in recruitment, admissions, enrollment, retention, student success or IT, Hobsons University is a valuable and affordable conference for any college, university or institution using Hobsons technology or marketing solutions (or Common Application member using the Common App Online system). We also welcome Intelliworks clients and will have content designed for you.


Best Practices

One great thing about Hobsons University is the content. Our clients – other product users like you who are interested in best practices – give the presentations. Based on your feedback from last year, we will also be incorporating more sessions on Hobsons processes and products directly, as well as ‘how to’ sessions.

All clients are encouraged to present at the event and share their ideas and successes. Additionally, the pre-conference sessions on July 16 are a great opportunity to get hands-on training for a small fee.


Great Value

We know you have a limited travel budget and many conference options. We work hard to keep Hobsons University affordable so our clients are able to attend – whether they are first-time attendees or returning veterans.

  • The conference is free for the first two (2) attendees at your institution.

  • Additional attendee fees are $300 per person.

  • Our four-year partnership with the Gaylord allows us to lock in low rates for your hotel accommodations.

  • We include Internet access throughout the event space and in your hotel room.

  • We don’t provide every meal, but we help you out with breakfast and a few evening events.


Green Initiatives

To limit printing and paper use, we provide online materials and communications whenever possible. In 2012 we will do all conference evaluations online. We also seek to limit wasteful water bottles by providing recyclable water bottles that can be used at water stations to keep you hydrated.


Fun Events

Most of all, we want you to have a good time networking with Hobsons staff and other attendees. Our new first-time attendee orientation will prepare you for the conference and introduce you to other newcomers. In addition, our opening reception will allow you to showcase your institution at a ‘Rock Your School Spirit’ event. And don’t miss our Western Saloon themed excellence awards reception, featuring the best Nashville has to offer!

We had the largest attendance in the six-year history of the event in 2011 and were proud to see that 98 percent of you said you would recommend the event to a colleague. Register early and book your hotel before we sell out!
