We encourage Connect and Retain clients to join us in our weekly online training classes. These instructor-led Web-based sessions are offered through WebEx. You will see the demonstration on your computer screen and hear the presentation over the phone. We recommend that participants also have their instance of Connect or Retain on the screen so that they can receive hands-on-learning as they follow along with the step-by-step exercises.

Import Essentials

Importing data into your CRM is both an art and a science. Participants will learn both technical details concerning the import wizard controls and tips for strategic decision making. This information will help you maintain accurate data and eliminate potential duplicates. During this class, attendees will gain hands-on experience as they import a sample data file into their own instance.

Creating Effective Filters for Beginners

Learn filtering basics in order to create a communication plan, set up your VIP pages, and export records. Those who attend will increase their knowledge of the filter functionality, learn how to organize filter folders, and understand the functionality within filtering which allows you to edit, copy, and move filters. This class will be interactive and offers some participants the ability to practice within the product.

Filters drive many processes within your CRM.  Sometimes its necessary to build filters that search for data beyond basic attribute information.  In this class you will learn how to build many different filter types.  Using scenario based examples, we will review the strategic use of and technical details behind different filter types including: email sent results, contact edits, watched attribute filters, and more.  Attendees should have a solid understanding of basic filter building and overview of your CRM.  This is an advanced level filters class.

Today’s college and graduate-aged students expect a lot in terms of how we communicate information about the admission process. Learning how to create e-mail templates that are more than just plain text is the first step in that process. Register for our online class to get hands-on training on how to create e-mails out of your product that will connect with your audience. Controlling Content on the VIP page

For those who are new to the VIP page, this class will define what the VIP and Interest pages are and how they work. We will review examples of live pages and show attendees how they can write their own VIP content in their own instance. After we finish producing pictures paragraphs and links, we will review the steps for publishing the information to the VIP page.

Communicating with Your Students through Surveys

Your CRM offers you more ways than one to communicate with students. In this class, you will learn how surveys can be used to communicate with your students via e-mails and the VIP page. A live trainer will walk you through the steps of building a survey in your CRM and then reviewing the results of that survey. Also included in the class is a review of the best practices for survey building and usage so you are well educated on how to build surveys and feel confident getting started on your own.

Events and Interviews, Part 1

This class is the first part of a two-part training on the Events and Interviews Module functionality that exists as a tab within your CRM. Topics in this class will include managing locations, categories, e-mail templates, and groups within the Events and Interviews tab, as well as setting up a new event or interview. Information regarding how to manage and invite individuals to an existing event or interview will be covered in part two.
